Oklahoma City's I.S. Technologies was honored as Oklahoma City's fastest-growing
privately held company Tuesday evening at the Metro 50 Awards Dinner.
The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber and the metro area business community recognized
50 companies for their growth.
"I was more than excited to know we were in the top three," said Iva Salmon, chief
executive officer of I.S. Technologies. "My first response was, 'Wow.'"
Perimeter Technology Center Inc. and The Busey Group finished out the top three,
respectively.
To qualify for the Metro 50, businesses had to be based in the Oklahoma City area,
be in business for three years and have at least $1 million in operating revenue
in the previous year.
This year marks the Perimeter Technology Center's first time to apply for the Metro
50.
John Parsons, Perimeter's president and chief executive, said he expected to do
well in the rankings because his company closely watched its growth percentage and
compared it with high-ranking companies of the past.
"We knew we were going to be pretty high," Parsons said.
Philip Busey Jr. said he was surprised The Busey Group made the list.
"We knew that we had some growth, but it was amazing to find out we had enough growth
to be in the top three," said Busey, who is vice president of communications.
President Phil Busey said his company's success is a result of being proactive in
finding solutions for its clients.
"Our success is tied to their success," he said.
Parsons said the key now is to remain on the list.
"When you're a young company, growth is mandatory," Parsons said.
