Busey Group named business of the year

OKLAHOMA CITY - The American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma has named Busey Group AICCO Oklahoma City Chapter Business of the Year.

The award was given Saturday at the AICCO 2006 Annual Gala held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Oklahoma City.

“We are very honored to receive this award,” said Phil G. Busey, Chairman and CEO of the Busey Group. “This confirms the efforts we are making in developing our business and the positive impact on the minority community in Oklahoma and nationally.

“The American Indian Chamber is making a valuable contribution to developing American Indian business opportunities in Oklahoma and we are proud to be a part of it,” Busey said.

The Busey Group is an American Indian-owned group of companies that engages in and provides government, military and commercial contracting and are focused on minority business development.

The Busey Group has a valued reputation in Indian Country for helping American Indian and tribal business become successful.

“The American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma now has five chapters within the state of Oklahoma.
