2010 Oklahoma City Chapter Chair Heidi Offutt presents award to Philip Busey Jr. of the Busey Group of Companies.

Busey Group named 2009 Oklahoma City Chapter Business of the Year

TULSA – The American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma has named the Busey Group of Companies 2009 Oklahoma City Chapter Business of the Year.The award was given Friday evening at the chamber’s annual awards gala held at the Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa.
"We are very honored to receive this award," said Philip Busey Jr. vice president of public relations and government affairs. "We appreciate the recognition the chamber gives us for our contributions to Indian Country."
Busey Jr. was elected and served as the Oklahoma City Chapter’s chairman for 2009.  The 2010 State board and Oklahoma City officers gave the award.
"The chamber at it’s chapters are a vital resource and economic development tool, we want to see it thrive for all American Indian and tribally-owned businesses," said Busey Jr.
This is the second chapter business of the year honor given to the Busey Group, the first was in 2005.  The company was named Statewide Business of the Year in 2008.
