Delaware Resource Group awarded Command and Control training contract

Delaware Resource Group has been awarded the Command and Control training contract by the United States Air Force.

The Oklahoma City-based company will provide contract academic training, courseware development, distance learning services, and staff support services for the Control and Reporting Centers (CRCs), Air Defense Sectors (ADSs), and Air Operations Centers (AOCs) missions at various locations in the Air Combat Command (ACC) and the Pacific Air Force (PACAF) Command, and for the Grounds Systems Section of the C2ISR Operations Division of the ACC Air and Space Operations Directorate at Langley AFB, Virginia.

The company is immediately moving into transition phase to begin work on the contract slated to begin March 1.  The contract will add approximately 45 people at 11 locations nationwide.  The contract value exceeds $30 million over four and half years.

"This is a milestone in our growth and success that moves us to a new level of operations," said Phil G. Busey Sr., Chairman and CEO.  "I congratulate our experienced professionals on all the hard work they have gone through over the last year for award of this contract."

This is the second major prime contract awarded to DRG within the last year.  In February of 2009, the company was selected by the Air Force to provide E-3 Mission Crew Training and courseware development at Tinker, AFB. That contract is a five year, $40 million contract. DRG had been a subcontractor on that program since 2002. In April of 2009, the company was awarded a subcontract for work on a Marine AV-8B program at Yuma, Arizona and Cherry Point, North Carolina.

Delaware Resource Group, a Busey Group Company, was founded in 2002 and currently has operations in Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Wyoming.  The company performs training services for four military aircrafts and natural gas field service operations in the Powder River Basin.
